WP: the US Congress opposed aid to Ukraine because of intelligence forecasts regarding the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

According to the authors of the material, citing a classified forecast, American intelligence came to the conclusion that Kyiv would not achieve success as part of the announced counteroffensive.
The intelligence community of the United States is confident that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not reach Melitopol and will not be able to cut the Russian-controlled land corridor to Crimea.
