OX says that it paid this Friday (4) the fines that were determined by the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes and will ask the Court to unblock the social network in the country again.
The payment of the amounts was necessary for the platform to be unblocked in Brazil. The suspension was determined on August 30th.
According to lawyers working on the case, the Federal Revenue Collection Document (Darf) will be presented to the Supreme Court with proof of payment of R$28.6 million.
The value refers to:
1) R$18.3 million referring to past fines for not complying with Moraes’ orders, such as blocking profiles;
2) R$10 million for the return of X in September;
3) R$300,000 fine to legal representative Raquel de Oliveira Villa Nova Conceição.
