OX petitioned the Federal Supreme Court (STF) on Friday night (4) saying that it had never been summoned by the Court to make the deposit into an account linked to the case file. As a result, he requested the network to be unblocked again for the second time that day.
“X Brasil was never instructed to make the aforementioned payment by depositing it into the account linked to these records (Banco do Brasil – code 0001; agency 1607-1, account 170500-8). On the contrary, the same was carried out through the payment of a deposit slip issued by Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) in accordance with the guidelines received from this E. Federal Supreme Court”, says X’s petition, obtained by CNN.
The justification that the deposit was made to the wrong account was used by Moraes to block the unlocking of the X this Friday, even though the company had .
The company informs that, even so, “having been certified and proven full payment of the fines stipulated” by Moraes, “it is certain that the ONLY REMAINING CONDITION for the unblocking of the X platform in national territory has been fulfilled”.
It also states that when Moraes ordered the payment of the fine, he did not present the need for a prior hearing from the Attorney General’s Office (PGR).
In the decision in which he said that X deposited in the wrong account, Moraes requested a hearing from the PGR. As shown by CNNsources linked to the company said they see the movement as a way of doing so.
OX asks that the files not be sent to PGR and that, in order to fulfill the deposit in the account indicated by Moraes, all that is needed is a bureaucratic procedure via Caixa Econômica Federal, that the network be unblocked.
