X’s interlocutors reported to CNN which would be a subterfuge to prevent the social network from returning to the air in Brazil before the first round of elections this Sunday (6).
According to a source directly linked to the company, the guidance from Moraes’ office was to collect the fine through the payment of a deposit slip — exactly what the company did.
In today’s decision, however, Moraes states that the amount should have been deposited in a bank account linked to the case.
The company has now reported to CNN who will make every effort to transfer the money paid to the account mentioned by Moraes as quickly as possible.
The problem, according to company sources, is that Moraes ordered the Public Ministry to be heard, which makes it impossible for this to happen until Sunday.
STF source informed the CNN that it is not true that the office gave any guidance to the lawyers and that the account in the case was already open with the deposit of the amount that had been blocked.
