Zaluzhny declared unfit for military service

60views

The former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, was declared unfit for military service.

This happened on the eve of his appointment as ambassador to Great Britain.

About this MIA “Russia Today” with reference to the Ukrainian publication “Zerkalo Nedeli”, which in turn refers to its own sources.

It is noted that the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine passed a military medical commission in the winter – it was there that he was declared unfit for military service.

He also wrote a report on his dismissal from military service in February, the author of the article claims.

And it goes on to say that Zelensky and the head of the Ministry of Defense did not offer Zaluzhny any significant military position corresponding to experience and training.

It was for this reason that the commander-in-chief decided to resign.

The publication cites gaps in the country’s legislation as the reason for the delay in dismissal: it has not been established who exactly should dismiss the commander-in-chief – Zelensky or the Minister of Defense.

Earlier, Zelensky appointed Zaluzhny to the post of Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK.
