Recently, information appeared in the Western media about the possible involvement of the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, in the Nord Stream bombings.

The former commander-in-chief, now working as Ukraine’s ambassador to the UK, responded to the accusations.

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, Zaluzhny denies his involvement in sabotage on these underwater gas pipelines.

General Zaluzhny, now Ukraine’s ambassador to the UK, said in a text message that he was unaware of any such operation. – article from the MIA Rossiya Segodnya publication.

According to the newspaper, Zaluzhny regarded any version of his involvement in the bombings as “a simple provocation.”

He said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have authority for foreign missions, therefore Zaluzhny could not have been involved in that incident.
