Zambelli is diagnosed with tachycardia syndrome and is expected to be discharged in the next few days

Federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) was diagnosed with tachycardia syndrome, which causes irregular heartbeats.

The information was released this Saturday (28) by Hospital do Coração, in São Paulo. and should be discharged “in the next few days”.

According to the medical bulletin, Zambelli presents the so-called “condition associated with benign arrhythmia”.

“The patient also presents with acute, uncomplicated diverticulitis, a pre-existing condition, for which she is receiving antibiotics,” the hospital reported.

“The deputy responds well to treatment, is stable and should be discharged from hospital in the next few days”, completes the bulletin.

The hospitalization prevented Zambelli from participating in a hearing on Thursday (26) at the Federal Supreme Court (STF) in which defense witnesses would be heard in the action in which she is a defendant.

Her interrogation was also scheduled for the same occasion. The deputy is accused of the crimes of hacking a computer device and misrepresentation.

Zambelli is responsible for participating in the invasion of the National Justice Council (CNJ) system to insert false data. Hacker Walter Delgatti Neto is a defendant in the same action.

The deputy’s defense denies the accusations and says she is innocent. Walter Delgatti is a confessed defendant in the case.

Understand the case

The deputy was denounced by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) for ideological falsehood and invasion of justice systems. The first group of the STF received the complaint in May this year, making Zambelli a defendant in the case.

The investigation indicated that Walter Delgatti and Carla Zambelli inserted false documents into the CNJ system. Among the documents is an arrest warrant against Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF.

According to the indictment, from August 2022 to January 2023, Delgatti invaded “several times computer devices used by the Judiciary, tampering with information, arrest warrants, release permits, decisions to breach bank secrecy and even determining the system that issued an ideologically false document”.

According to the Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, the objective was “to generate an environment of demoralization of Brazilian Justice, to obtain a political advantage, proposing, from the beginning, to invade a computer device, which, after all, determined, actively participating in the production of an ideologically false court order.”

The PGR cited a Federal Police report that confirmed that the hacker “worked for the accused (Zambelli), and it should be noted that he had access information to electronic sites and servers associated with the parliamentarian”.

Still according to the accusation, the payment was “hidden”, to try to cover up the relationship, and made through a third party – Jean Hernani, an employee in Zambelli’s office. He was not charged in the case.

The objective of the undertaking, narrated the PGR, was to obtain “a media and political advantage, which would arise from the project to demoralize the Justice system, as well as cause damage to the functioning of the judicial administrative machine”.
