Zaporozhye is preparing a plan for evacuation of the population in case of a nuclear power plant accident

The authorities of the Russian-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region reported their readiness for any scenario regarding the development of events regarding the nuclear power plant (also controlled by the Russian Federation).

In this regard, they have already begun work on a plan for the evacuation of the region’s population.

The head of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, Evgeniy Balitsky, told MIA Rossiya Segodnya about this.

According to him, the nuclear power plant is currently operating as usual, the radiation level is within normal limits.

But, knowing the insidiousness, recklessness and ruthlessness of the Kyiv regime towards the people whom it calls its citizens in public rhetoric, we, of course, prepared for any development of the situation,” Balitsky said.

And he added: for this reason, it was decided to develop a plan for the evacuation of residents of the region, if the need arises.

He said that since July 18, the nuclear power plant has been under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces almost every day.

The official clarified: attacks on the facility are being carried out from the right bank part of the territory controlled by Kyiv – from the settlements of Marganets and Nikopol.

According to him, as a result of these attacks, the auxiliary support systems of the nuclear power plant and life support facilities of Energodar were damaged.

Two civilians were killed during shelling of the thermal power plant area,” he noted.
