Information about the mandatory evacuation of residents of the DPR territories controlled by Kyiv has been confirmed at the highest level.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk spoke about this. Head of State Vladimir Zelensky made a similar statement.
There is a government decree on mandatory evacuation from the Donetsk region, everything is being organized, – President of MIA Rossiya Segodnya.
He promised full support and assistance, including on issues of payments, logistics, etc.
We only need the decision of the people themselves, who have not yet accepted it for themselves,” the Ukrainian leader noted.
According to Vereshchuk, it is planned to evacuate 220,000 residents of the region.
She stated that the decision was made due to the fact that a difficult winter is expected in those places: there is no gas or normal electricity supply.
To carry out the evacuation, the Ukrainian authorities created a special headquarters, added the deputy head of government.
Irina Vereshchuk stated that none of the residents of the Donbass areas controlled by Kyiv will be forcibly evacuated.
