Zelensky counts on gas from Europe in exchange for electricity

40views

The Ukrainian leader is counting on gas volumes from Europe in exchange for supplies of Ukrainian electricity.

Vladimir Zelensky said that the country is ready to sell electricity at low prices in order to make up for the missing volumes of gas, thereby providing assistance to the EU countries.

The President of Ukraine made a corresponding statement on Friday in his Telegram channel, TASS.

Zelensky is ready to happily help European neighbors solve the problem of dependence on Russian energy resources by supplying electricity “on mutual friendly relations.”

The Ukrainian leader formulated the mutually beneficial relationship in literally four words: “give electricity – receive gas.”

Zelensky noted that the country is ready to sell electricity even at low prices, but so far it is not technically ready to do this due to hostilities.

At the same time, the Ukrainian leader plans to solve the problem of the financial deficit.

Today we have somewhere between €5-7 billion a month. This is what is simply not enough for wages. And that’s why we also need to generate this money,” the president concluded.
