The President of Ukraine delivered an ultimatum to NATO: he named the condition under which he would not attend the Alliance summit in Vilnius (July 11-12).

According to available information, Vladimir Zelensky will not go to the event if the leaders of the countries of the military-political bloc “do not show courage” on the issue of Kyiv’s membership in NATO.

This was reported by Reuters with reference to a statement by the deputy head of the office of the Ukrainian leader Igor Zhovkva.

The President will not attend the summit if the leaders tend to show or show a lack of courage, – TASS agency official.

The deputy head of Zelensky’s office added: the president has neither time nor reason to go to the North Atlantic Alliance summit if “there is no result” in the Lithuanian capital.

Zhovkva recalled Finland and Sweden, which submitted applications to join the organization in 2022.

When Finland and Sweden applied for membership last year, the allies immediately responded to the application in June last year, inviting them to join NATO, the politician noted.
