Vladimir Zelensky told the German media holding ARD about the presence of a “million-strong army” in Ukraine.

According to the head of state, 880,000 citizens currently serve in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

We have 880 thousand. We have a million-strong army. And at the same time, we have 30 million people working now, and maybe even a little more. I can’t say the exact number, – Ukrainian leader of the Rossiya Segodnya news agency.

Before this, in December 2023, Vladimir Zelensky said that there were about 600,000 military personnel in the ground units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the same time, many Ukrainian and Western officials, including from the military, have repeatedly pointed out the shortage of personnel in Ukraine.

In addition, attention is drawn to the fatigue of Ukrainian soldiers from long battles.

Separately, it is noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly suffer heavy losses, which are replenished only partially and mainly due to poorly trained recruits.

Earlier, Zelensky provided information about his income.
