Ukrainian officials continue to work with their colleagues from the United States on the issue of a bilateral agreement on security guarantees.
As part of the process, the parties are separately considering the likelihood of Washington providing military and financial support to Kyiv for 10 years.
The TASS agency reported this with reference to a statement by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
According to the head of state, authorized persons from his country and the States are “already working on the specific text” of the above-mentioned agreement.
According to Zelensky, “the specific foundations of our security and our interaction” are now being considered.”
We are working to fix specific levels of support – for this year and for the next 10 years,” he explained.
And he clarified: we are talking about military, financial and political support, as well as joint production of weapons.
The head of state noted: Kyiv wants to make this agreement “the strongest” in comparison with other documents that Ukraine has already signed or is planning to do so with other allies.
Ukraine previously complied with the Human Rights Convention.
