Zelensky said that the counteroffensive is not going as expected

0views

The President of Ukraine publicly stated that the course of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counter-offensive does not meet expectations, since it is not going as hoped in Kyiv.

He explained: his country’s troops are advancing “slower than we would like.”

At the same time, Vladimir Zelensky said that Kyiv still does not want to sit down at the negotiating table with Russia in order to peacefully resolve the issue of ending the conflict.

The Ukrainian leader spoke about all this in an interview with the British BBC, TASS agency.

Some people think it’s a Hollywood movie and expect results now. This is not it,” said the head of state.

And then he added that the Ukrainian army is advancing “slower than we would like.”

However, Zelensky emphasized, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will advance on the battlefield at the pace they deem necessary, despite attempts to put pressure on Kyiv.

As for negotiations with Moscow, he said the following: Ukraine will not enter into dialogue as long as Russian troops remain on its territory.
