President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky spoke about how the conflict in the Middle East affected his country’s Armed Forces.

According to the head of state, the confrontation between Israel and Hamas had a negative impact on the state of affairs of the Ukrainian military.

In particular, for this reason, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are faced with a shortage of 155 mm artillery shells.

Zelensky identified the shortage of such shells as a “problem” for the Ukrainian army.

In the Middle East, what do you think they started buying first? 155 mm artillery shells. Our reserves have decreased,” TASS agency president.

He added: now warehouses are empty all over the world, and today’s volumes of supplies from Western countries cannot meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the same time, Zelensky approved the US efforts to increase production of this type of projectile.

Previously, the Ukrainian leader publicly lamented the fact that, as he stated, Western support for Kyiv could significantly weaken due to the conflict in the Middle East.
