Washcloth and mop attachment: What the wise housewife does with her old towels

168views

It’s a shame to throw away old things, especially terry towels. They’re durable and soft, so they can be used to make useful things for your home. I’ve put together a few ideas for reusing them.

First, make a practical apron for cooking or cleaning your home. To do this, take an old towel, sew a belt around the waist and a couple of handy pockets on the front. Very quick and easy!

Second, make a special attachment for the handle of the floor mop. Cut two pieces of the towel in the shape of the letter H of the desired size. Join them together and sew, leaving a gap for turning inside out. Then you need to turn it inside out, stitch and sew the hole. Almost done! Now place the finished cloth in the shape of an H on the floor and place a mop in the middle of it. Then cover part of the mop with the part of the fabric you sewed the buttons onto, and attach the part of the fabric with stitches on top – attach the buttons. All! The result is a soft and absorbent nozzle!

Third, give your slippers a second life by creating original slippers from a towel. The idea is to cover the bottom of such shoes with a comfortable fabric, preferably terry cloth.

Fourth, turn an old towel into a body washcloth. You can do this by cutting it into two circles and several strips of cloth. Cover the edges of one of the circles with a strip of ribbon folded into a zigzag. You can sew the handle into the second circle. After assembly, you will have a fluffy terrycloth pendant.

Fifth, take care of your cat and knit a nice towel rug for him. Fold the towel into three pieces and make holes in the corners. Thread a rope or braid through it and hang the hammock between the furniture. Your pet will thank you!

Such simple but very useful things for everyday life can be made from old towels and breathe new life into them. Try it, you won’t regret it!
