Spain believes that Russia is not involved in sending explosives

0views

Spanish law enforcement agencies believe that Russian intelligence services or other groups have nothing to do with the distribution of envelopes with explosive devices.

A local TV channel reported this on Friday.

At the moment, investigations into these incidents are ongoing.

The police are trying to connect all six cases of sending explosives, especially since the signatures on four of them match.

This gives reason to assume that the same person is involved in these incidents, however, it is emphasized that law enforcement officers at this stage are considering absolutely all versions of the scenario and “not a single hypothesis is excluded.”

The day before, in Spain, suspicious envelopes with explosive devices inside were sent to the Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid, the country’s Ministry of Defense, the Instalaza weapons company and the Torrejon de Ardoz airbase.

It was also reported that the security service of the Prime Minister of Spain intercepted an envelope, which allegedly also contained explosives, sent to the office of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

Later, information appeared about another, already sixth, parcel with explosives sent to the US Embassy in Madrid; it was neutralized by specialists from the Tedax special squad.

The Russian mission in Spain made an official statement in which it emphasized that it condemns any acts of terrorism and violence.
